So I sort of broke my rule about not buying anymore polish until I went through my current collection. A friend of mine sent me a referral code for
Julep and a code for my first box of polish to be free so it sort of doesn't count right? I mean I only paid for the shipping I didn't pay for the polish or anything. I mean who is going to say no to free nail polish? Not me! Besides they're so pretty. In fact if you want your first box free just go to
Julep.com and enter
FREEFB and all you'll have to pay for is the shipping.

Anyways on to the polish! My first maven box came with all sorts of goodies: a julep nail file, a nail polish remover pad, two polishes and an apricot hand scrub. The colors they sent me (which were based off a personality profile quiz I took upon signing up) were
Mille &
Etta.
The first color I decided to use was
Millie. It's a beautiful "vintage indigo creme". The color is opaque in one coat, and the creme finish has a great shine. Creme finish nail polishes are the most common and are--in essence-- pure color but this is the first time I've seen a polish that actually looks creamy. Not to say that my China Glaze polishes are creamy but this julep polish even looks decadent. I can see the reason that Julep is a bit more expensive but if all their products are this great I think they've just found a new loyal customer...right after I get through my collection.
